Wow! What a year that was. I think we all deserve a pat on the back for just persevering through it all. Most of us deserve a nice bottle of wine under the stars of Tuscany. However, at this moment, we might settle for the wine under a luxe face mask.
Last year, I had the pleasure of meeting over 30 wonderful women, who all had unimaginable stories. Not just the pretty ones. The ugly ones which make you reevaluate complaining in the first place. Yes, we are all carrying a heavy burden in some form or another. Yet some are carrying a burden of not knowing if the treatment will work. Others are trying to spend the best of the last with their loved ones. While others are trying to pick up the pieces from the relationship that caused more anguish than love.
For me, there were peaks of joy but mostly valleys of disappointment. For months on, I spent time in solitude, stripping back all the layers and just praising God in the unknown seasons. I'm sure God gave me a few here we go again eye rolls. Well, now I know ignoring your wound isn't the best remedy to healing. Fast forward to almost two years later, I built my very own studio to provide a photographic experience, capturing brave women who persevered through it all.
As we start a new chapter in 2020, let us stop to celebrate the past, present, and future you. If there is only one lesson you learn this entire year or decade, it’s this: YOU are important and your time is valuable. This year, I look forward to continuing to serve other women by boosting their confidence through a boudoir session. This time around, I plan to use this blog as a platform to share some pretty powerful women and their incredible journey.
